General Secretariat of the National Authority for Chemical Weapons
The National Authority for Chemical Weapons has the following roles:
– Manage all activities to prevent the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiation weapons and chemicals related to the production of these weapons.
– The only national institution representing the Royal Government at all international meetings on the prevention of proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiological weapons.
Represent the Royal Government of Cambodia in negotiating and signing by the Head of the Royal Government with international organizations or States Parties on conventions, protocols or agreements related to chemical, nuclear, biological and radiological weapons.
Represent the Royal Government in signing memorandums of contract for all projects under the Royal Government’s grant of bilateral and multilateral assistance to prevent the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiological weapons.
The National Authority for Chemical Weapons has the following functions and duties:
– Develop policies, strategies, action plans to control, prevent the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radioactive weapons.
Disseminate, ensure the implementation and monitor all policies, strategies and action plans decided by the Royal Government.
– Cooperate with national and international organizations or States Parties in implementing conventions and agreements related to chemical, nuclear, biological and radiological weapons.
Take measures to control the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radioactive weapons
Collaborate with ministries, institutions, authorities, government agencies, establishments and private companies to determine the export, import, transit, chemical and biological and nuclear and radioactive substances.
– Monitor and control the work of preventing the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiation weapons
Coordinate all activities to prevent the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiation weapons.
Mobilize resources, technical assistance, scholarships and financial in and out of the country
– Manage the implementation of laws and conventions related to the prevention of the proliferation of chemical, nuclear, biological and radiation weapons.
– Advise and propose to the Royal Government
Perform other duties assigned by the Royal Government.
