His Excellency General Dr. Phorn Nara, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the National Authority for the Prevention of Nuclear, Biological and Radiation Weapons, presided over the closing ceremony of the National Workshop on the Implementation of Confidence-Building Measure CBMs(BWC), with the participation of Mr. Alex Lampalzer, Deputy Director of the Geneva Weapons Convention Support Unit for the United Nations Office on Arms Reduction (UNODA) and a representative of the Union Delegation. Europe in Cambodia (TBC), as well as officials from the National Authority for Chemical Weapons, experts from the United Nations Office on Arms Reduction (UNODA) and officials from relevant institutions.
The workshop lasted for two days, from January 23 to 24, 2024, with a smooth and pleasant success, helping to spread the importance of the Biological Weapons Convention to you. Involvement, in particular, provides a deeper understanding of the preparation of reports, confidence-building measures (CBM), and facilitates future submission of CBM reports to Cambodia. Finally, HE Dr.Phorn Nara also presented a letter of thanks to Mr. Alex Lampalzer and his team, as well as a certificate of attendance to the entire workshop.
The closing ceremony of the workshop took place on Wednesday 24th January, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Phnom Penh.
