His Excellency General Dr. Phorn Nara, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the National Authority for the Prevention of Chemical, Nuclear, Biological and Radiation Weapons, presided over the closing remarks of the National Workshop on Better Management of Biosecurity in Southeast Asia of the Project. No. 81, Phase 3 of the CBRN CoE Project (EU CBRN CoE Project 81-BIOSEC), with the participation of HE Dr. Ly Sovann, Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Director of the Department of Infectious Diseases, and Mr. John Jones, Project Director 81, as well as officials from the National Authority for Chemical Weapons, experts from the UK Health Security Agency and officials from relevant institutions.
This workshop lasted for 4 days, from the 5th to the 8th of February 2024, was a smooth and satisfying success. This workshop provided knowledge on the implementation of the subject of organizing training groups to test the implementation of the law on biological security and incident management in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Speaking on the occasion of the closing of the workshop, HE Dr. Phorn Nara emphasized that we must continue to strengthen our knowledge and capacity because we cannot predict what will happen in the world situation, so we must prepare to strengthen our capacity, and we’re always be ready to solve problems that will happen in our society. At the same time, HE Dr. Phorn Nara also requested Mr. John Jones, Project Manager No. 81, especially the European Union continue to help Cambodia. At the end, HE Dr. Phorn Nara presented a letter of thanks to Mr. John Jones, Project Manager No. 81 and the team, as well as a certificate of participation to all the participants.
